What is a Virtual Phone number?

A virtual phone number is a phone number that isn’t bound to a SIM or a physical address. Virtual phone numbers let you make and receive calls, send and receive texts, on one mobile phone just like your main mobile number. A virtual phone number is ideal as your second number.

Do you support outgoing calls?

Yes. Just use either the web interface or our app for Android phones and the iPhone which opens up this feature to you. If you can't access the Google Play Store while abroad, you can download the Android app directly here. We encourage you to learn more about our mobile apps on our blog post.

How do you keep personal and business numbers separate?

You only use your personal number for friends and family and keep your second number for everything else.

By using a virtual number from LimePhone, you can use this as your second phone number.

How does free trial work?

LimePhone offers 14 day free trial for all new users. Once you signup and our team will call you within 1 hour to verify and activate your trial. All new trials require verification to avoid abuse and tp prevent fraud.

Note that you wont be able to make calls or receive calls until your account has been manually verified our our team.

How does it work?

LimePhone uses the internet to give you additional phone numbers on your existing devices. Our web interface or mobile dialer on any device. Download the Android app directly here to make calls and send messages.

Who can use LimePhone?

What devices do you support?

Use LimePhone on all major devices including iOS, mobile (Android) and desktop browsers. Use on any mobile device with LimePhone's Mobile Dialer

Can I use LimePhone with my team?

Yes. LimePhone supports multiple team members. Please chose the team plan to access this feature. You will be able to assign and route the numbers to your team members.

Do you offer voicemail?

Yes, we do. If you are away from your phone or have powered off, our service will give your callers the option to leave a voicemail. Voicemails are delivered instantly as mp3 files to the email address you used to sign up, access them through your desktop and mobile apps.

Can I use my existing number?

Keep your current phone number when you switch to LimePhone.

We're able to port US and UK numbers.

To make the switch, porting takes between 3-5 business days and costs between $30-$50 per number depending on the number type.

Do I need to download any software?

Nope! LimePhone works directly with your existing phone. You can also use the desktop browser, or Android apps for calls and messages. For IOS, you can use our web dialer

In which countries do you offer phone numbers?

LimePhone supports virtual numbers from over 40+ countries.

Go to Sign up > Select a plan > Select a number type > Select a country

You'll see all available countries and numbers!

If yours isn't listed, contact us as we are able to offer a custom setup in most countries for an additional fee.

How does messaging work?

Just like your regular phone, you can send and receive text messages (SMS) from your LimePhone number to any local or international number. You can manage the messages fromLimePhone dashboard or the app.

Why do I need a second phone number?

What is a billing cycle?

A billing cycle is a monthly period for which your LimePhone usage is charged. It starts on the day you activate your service and runs for 30 days thereafter..

What items are included on my bill?

Your bill will detail your monthly LimePhone plan charges, including your chosen plan fee, any additional data used beyond your plan allowance, international calling charges (if applicable), and any premium services you've subscribed to.

How can I view my current bill?

You can access your most recent bill by logging into your LimePhone account online or through the LimePhone app. The "Billing" section will display your current charges and allow you to download a PDF copy for your records.

What payment methods does LimePhone accept?

LimePhone accepts major credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

We also accept bank wire, paypal and crypto. Please contact our sales for alternative payment methods.

When will I be charged for my service?

Your LimePhone service will be automatically charged at the beginning of your billing cycle, or following your trial expiring if not cancelled.

Can I change my payment method?

Yes, you can easily update your payment method by logging into your LimePhone account and navigating to the "Billing" section.

What happens if my payment fails?

If your payment fails, you will receive a notification via email or text message. LimePhone will attempt to process the payment again within a few days.  If the payment remains unsuccessful, your service may be suspended until the outstanding balance is cleared.

How can I find out which plan I'm currently on?

Your current plan details are displayed on your LimePhone account dashboard and on your monthly bill.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan during my billing cycle?

Yes, you can upgrade your plan at any time during your billing cycle. However, downgrading a plan will only take effect at the beginning of your next billing cycle.

How can I track my usage?

You can monitor your usage through the LimePhone app or by logging into your account online. The "Usage" section will display your current usage and remaining allowance within your plan.

What happens when I exceed my allowance?

If you use more minutes or sms than your plan allows, you will be charged overage fees per minute / sms.

What are premium services and how are they charged?

Premium services are features like, voicemail transcription, answer calls with auto attendant, Text Broadcasts (send bulk SMS messages to your customers) Call CRM (organize & track customer interactions) and 25+ advanced integrations are included in our Team and Business plans.

How can I manage my subscriptions to premium services?

All premium services are included on teams and business plan, the features are readily available at no additional add on cost!

What plan options does LimePhone offer?

LimePhone offers a variety of plans with varying talk minutes, and messaging options. You can choose the plan that best suits your needs.

Can I avoid overage charges?

To avoid overage charges, monitor your Usage LimePhone app. Additionally, if your allowance and additional Pay-As-You-Go calling credit are used. You will not occur additional costs, but this will effect your serivice.

Technical

What devices does LimePhone work on?

LimePhone is a web and mobile app and can be downloaded on all smartphones and tablets. It's also compatible Android.

Why can't I make a call?

There could be several reasons.

Firstly, check your account has been activated by the LimePhone team.

Check your internet connection (cellular data or Wi-Fi) as LimePhone relies on internet for calls.  Ensure you have enough calling minutes credits in your plan and haven't reached any limits. Verify the dialed number is correct and doesn't contain typos.

Finally, restart the LimePhone app and your device.

How can I record a call?

Go to Numbers > Manage Number > Turn on call recording.  

Always be transparent with the other party before recording a call.

Note: for system level please go to settings>platform>call recording to enable/disable platform wise.

What is voicemail and how do I access it?

Voicemail acts as your answering machine when you miss a call.  You can configure voicemail greetings and access messages through the LimePhone app or Android app.

Voicemails are accessed through the desktop app, mobile dialer and emailed as an mp3.

I'm experiencing poor call quality. What can I do?

Poor call quality can be caused by weak internet connection (cellular data or Wi-Fi). Try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data to see if it improves. Ensure you're in an area with good network coverage.  End and restart the call, and if the issue persists, contact LimePhone support.

Is LimePhone secure?

LimePhone utilizes industry-standard encryption protocols to protect your calls and messages.  However, it's recommended to keep your LimePhone app updated and be cautious with any information shared through calls or messages.

How do I update the LimePhone app?

App updates are typically handled through your device's app store - Google Play Store for Android. Look for the LimePhone app and see if an update is available. Updating ensures you have the latest features and security patches.

How can I change my LimePhone account password?

You can change your password by logging into your LimePhone account online. Navigate to your account settings > personal "Change Password".

What are the recommended browser for desktop?

We recommend usingthe latest version of Chrome or Edge for the best performance and user experience.
